When the FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low first leaked all the way back in April, we knew straight away that it was going to be a special one. Considering the fact that Kent Uyehara's skate store was the only place that you could cop the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low "Orange", the Beaverton brand's relationship with him is obviously a beautiful one. Set to drop tomorrow on July 28th at 8am, here's everything that you need to know!
Dropping as part of the Tokyo Olympic Games SB Dunk collection, FTC's take on the legendary Dunk Low is inspired by the famous indoor Sento bathhouses you'd find all over Japan. Featuring a light blue suede base that's a nod to the refreshing water, quilted white leather panels wrap around the heel, lacing system, and toebox, reminiscent to the type of tiles you'd find in these publish establishments.
A metallic silver Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while a textured yellow sockliner mimics that towels that have been traditionally used at bathhouses for generations. To round it all off, kanji can be seen on the back of the tongue, finalising the design.
Set to drop tomorrow on July 28th at 8am, the FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro "Lagoon Pulse" is a must-have! Let us know if you'll be adding these to your rotation, and while you're here, you might as well take your best look yet at the Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High "Project Unicorn"!
