First leaked all the way back in March of last year, the Off-White x Nike Air Zoom Tempo Next% collaboration has been one of Virgil Abloh's most mysterious to date. With no teasers or previews or anything of that sort to speak of, the American fashion design just went ahead an announced them out of nowhere. Was it worth the 16 month wait? Well, it depends on personal preference.
Arriving in two colourways including "Scream Green" and "Pink Glow", both pairs feature a knit upper for versatility with every stride. A scribbled Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while a toggle switch lacing system means you get a customised fit that's perfect for your needs. Of course, you can't talk about this collab without mentioning Abloh's signature deconstructed detailing. Synonymous to his Off-White brand, things like technical verbiage and zip-tie make their way throughout the shoe for a DIY-inspired design that we all know and love.
Of course, you can't talk about this Zoom without mentioning the Nike ZoomX foam in the footbed. Made with the help of the world's fastest athleres, there's energy return in every step while a visible Zoom Air unit puts more spring in striding forward. This is then lined with a series of rubber spikes for an even more athletic aesthetic.
Originally supposed to drop alongside the "Solar Red", the Off-White x Nike Air Zoom Tempo Next% "Scream Green" and "Pink Glow" might not be for everyone, but they're pretty funky in their own right. Set to drop tomorrow on July 23rd, make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, luxury goods corporation LVMH recently purchased the majority stake in Off-White!
