Seeing its release in 1998, the Nike TN Air Max Plus is a silhouette that many would consider to be nothing short of an icon throughout the '00s. Designed by Sean McDowell, this shoe featured transverse waves inspired by palm trees and even a steep arch inspired by whale tails, all sat atop a unique Tuned Air midsole underfoot.
Nowadays, the TN Air Max Plus sits firmly as one of the most revered silhouettes amongst streetwear fans under the Swoosh brand's banner, leading to fresh new iterations dropping on a regular basis. The latest offerings arrive under the guise of "Multi Swoosh Black" and "Hyper Pink" colourways, each offering a distinctive nod to the silhouette's late '90s debut.
The "Multi Swoosh Black" rendition sees the silhouette decked out in a predominantly stealthy black hue. These shades decorate the soles and uppers, offering a clean base for four renditions of the famed Nike Swoosh to sit in contrast. The Swooshes can be seen in red, blue, white and grey tints, delivering a minimalist meets maximalist approach. Its "Hyper Pink" counterpart truly embraces the maximalist side of things also, with a logo-heavy make-up sat atop a pink base hue. An AIR Tuned wallpaper-like print decorates the uppers, backed up by a small neon green swoosh on the lateral walls. Green accents can also be seen inside the sole's air bubble, delivering further colourful touches.
