As if finding out you can't get your hands on the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 wasn't bad enough. Now, we're getting teased from every angle. Just this week, Ronnie Fieg, the mastermind behind Kith, unveiled an extraordinary collaboration with ASICS for the New York brand. Yet, securing a pair is proving to be no small feat.
Set to mark Kith and ASICS' 100th release, this pair reimagines the GEL-LYTE III silhouette. Speaking of the collaboration, Fieg noted "This is my first By Invitation Only release. I created this GEL-LYTE III™ colorway for people who want to be part of a community that takes the extra step. You will not find this pair on a footwear wall at any of my stores. You will not find it readily available on our website. Instead, you'll be invited to purchase it, if you wish. This colorway isn't meant for the many, it is meant for the few."
Dealing a sneaker-shaped blow to the gut, this statement directly notes that you'll have to be within the inner circle to even get a sniff at this pair. The pair itself sees purple and pink hues decorate a suede upper. The colours look to derive from The Palette series, pairing muted tones together in harmonic unison. Elsewhere, Fieg's name sits proudly atop the tongue, backed up by the regular assortment of ASICS logos and motifs.
Naturally, our invites got lost in the post, so for now, we'll have to make do with staring at everyone else's Instagram photos. Up next, this upcoming fragment x Nike Air Force 1 doesn't exactly push the boundaries.
