After sparking some debate around the subject of playing it safe, yet another fragment design x Nike Air Force 1 has landed on the radar. Arriving in a contrasting hue, this "Triple Black" rendition looks to sport identical detailing when compared to its white counterpart.
Whether this is the full extent of the collaboration so far, we're unsure, but who knows just what exactly fragment design could have up its sleeve next. No release date for either of the pairs is available just yet, so make sure to keep it locked in right here for all the latest. Be sure to keep reading for our original thoughts on this pair also.
Original article: While minimalism has been a mainstay in many of our wardrobes for some years now, it almost feels like we're at a point where things might have gone too far. Once upon a time, a collaboration meant two parties would come together to breathe fresh air into new or existing silhouettes, but now it seems we've reached a stage where doing the bare minimum is accepted.
Joining the likes of JJJJound in the lazy department this time is fragment design, as Hiroshi Fujiwara looks to leave his mark on the Nike Air Force 1 Low "White." Now, forgive us if we're missing something here, but so far, this shoe just looks like a regular AF1 with "FGRMNT" stamped at the midsole and a lightning bolt emblem at the rear. As far as we can tell, no updates have been made to the shoe's materials or construction, either.
Now, while there are arguments to be made that the triple white AF1 in its original form is about as perfect as a silhouette gets, and changing it too much would be an injustice, we can't help but feel a little more could have been done.
With all that said, we have no doubt in our minds this latest rework will appeal to the masses. Just look at the NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Certified Lover Boy, for example. In the same vein, this silhouette simply included a branded midsole, heel tab and tongue detailing, and that was nothing short of a hit.
For those interested in this silhouette, no official release date has been set just yet, so make sure to set a release reminder below for all the latest. Up next, here's an official look at the Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 collab.
