The adidas Orketro has been the subject of much sneaker talk recently, acting as the model of choice for Sean Wotherspoon’s latest collaborative project. Now, the chunky retro-style runner is the focus for those on this side of the pond too, as UK-based retailer Offspring has joined forces with adidas Consortium for their first-ever collab.
Championing London’s sneaker scene (other cities do exist) the Offspring x adidas Orketro pulls inspiration from the city’s skyline at night, with tonal grey uppers representing stone buildings and skyscrapers against the darkness. Fabricated from a mixture of mesh and suede, the construction further highlights the changing landscape of the capital, while an outline of the River Thames runs along the shoe’s sidewalls.
From here, mint green accents call out to adidas’ Consortium division, and glow-in-the-dark sole units highlight the bright lights of the city. Midsole plaques come finished with holographic branding that switches between Offspring and adiPRENE branding when worn, and finally, Trefoil branding comes neatly tucked beneath the tongue for a super-clean finish.
The Offspring x adidas Orketro is set to drop on January 28th at Offspring and adidas CONFIRMED, so be sure to hit the links above and set those release reminders if you want to get your hands on a pair.
