As of late, sacai's Chitose Abe has been no stranger to collaboration. In the last few months alone we've seen sacai collaborate with Dior, KAWS and Nike for a variety of diverse products. But for now, it seems the Japanese high fashion brand is showing no signs of letting up as a sacai x ACRONYM collab has just been announced.
ACRONYM's Errolson Hugh took to Instagram to confirm the collaboration after rumours first surfaced elsewhere last week. The caption reads “sacai ACRONYM collection launching January 2022”, with the post offering several images of both the men and women's portions of the collection.
The select images showcase both brand's technical wizardry in the form of several grey silhouettes. Each of these pieces utilises a monochromatic colour scheme and comes equipped with all the familiar tropes you would expect including woven textures and a variety of utility-inspired pockets.
Speaking on the collaboration, Errolson notes “Having known Chitose, and of course sacai, for many years, this collaboration is the ideal kind of cross-pollination. And as I believe you can see from the results, it’s a true blend of the philosophies of both brands, where the sum is greater than the parts”.
The full collaboration is set to arrive in January 2022 so make sure you keep it locked in right here for all the latest! In other news, Megan Thee Stallion leads futuristic AMBUSH x Nike collab.
