Easily one of the biggest breakout brands of last year, Salomon continues to remind fans both old and new that it has, in fact, been killing it for a good while now, by re-releasing the original colourways of its XT-4 silhouette. Having recently dropped a RECUT pack of XT-6’s, this collection follows a similar idea, replicating early versions of its classic trail runner in “White”, “Black” and “Fiery Red".
Though it features a slightly chunkier build than the XT-6, the XT-4’s lightweight construction means it's still a trail shoe at heart, so both pairs will appeal to the Gorpcore crowd. Retaining the model’s signature features, the re-releases arrive with a Quicklace system, mesh uppers and a full-length Agile Chassis Skeleton, as well as all the underfoot cushioning and traction-heavy treads you’d expect from the trail runner. Branding hits arrive in the form of a Salmon Lab stamp at the toe box and a Salomon wordmark across the sidewalls, as well as the classic colourful strip at the lace unit.
Set to be joined by two more colourways at a later date, the Salomon OG XT-4 colourways are set to land at retailers very soon, so make sure you have those release reminders set in order to secure your size.
Up next, MSCHF is making moves with its big red boots.
