Seeing Double: Balenciaga Unveils The Triple S 'Half & Half' Collection

Whether you like it or not, the chunky dad shoe trend is here to stay, and it's being headed by the Balenciaga Triple S sneaker. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months, you've probably seen these creps being flexed on your Instagram feed, and now, the infamous sneaker has received a unique 'Half & Half' makeover.

Described by the Spanish luxury fashion house as a “visual composite“, the Triple S takes design cues from three different sports, including running, basketball, and track and field, all stacked on top of one another to create the unmistakable bulky sole.

Specifically designed to look deliberately worn in, the Triple S 'Half & Half' collection mashes two popular colourways into one. Split down the middle, these are arguably the most striking iterations of the chunky shoe to date. In terms of materials, the shoes are crafted from luxurious nubuck and ultra breathable mesh.
