Nike is bringing back one of their most iconic silhouettes and giving us the throwback we didn't know we needed. The Nike Blazer Mid '77 returns with a fresh new design and updated look in White/Black and White/Red.
The Blazer Mid '77 seems to be making a comeback for 2020, with a number of new colourways that are slowly being unveiled and on the horizon. Following suit to the Air Max 1 'Sketch to Self' that released last year Nike uses the same technique that looks to the design process of the sneaker to create the simple yet stand out detailing.
The White and Black Scribble Blazer nods to the OG colourway withblack sketch style Swooshes across the side panels and a printed 'NIKE' logo across the heels. The original design process of the shoe comes through with the '1977' labelling on the side of the lace unit and 'Herringbone Design Outsole' on the midsole.
The same detailing also appears on the White and Red Sketch Blazer with contrasting red touches that stand out on the deconstructed style tongue that reveals the foam centre. Soft suede panels overlay the toe box and sit vertically on the heel, whilst the rest of the sneaker is covered in smooth white leather with a rubber outsole for durability.
The women's Nike Blazer Mid '77 White Red and White Black look to the past for design inspiration and incorporate the sketch detailing for a contemporary, fresh new look on an old school classic. There's no official UK release date for these kicks yet but keep it locked to The Sole Supplier to find out how you can cop.
