Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year or two, you've probably come across Kim Kardashian's shapewear, nightwear and lingerie brand, SKIMS. The social media-star-turned-business-woman launched the brand in 2019, with the ethos of being able to provide underwear and shapewear solutions that fit everybody. That means the brand utilises technical fabrics to hug and hold you in in all the right places, as well as stretchier styles for anyone looking for comfort over contouring. Available in sizes XXS to 4X, SKIMS really does have solutionwear to suit everyone.
Amongst SKIMS most popular styles is the brand's Fits Everybody range, which covers everything from underwear to the most flattering t-shirts and bodysuits you'll ever wear. Other key lines include the Cozy range (the fluffy pieces you've seen ALL over social media) and their cotton rib and velour ranges, so the brand goes way beyond just undergarments and definitely crosses into the loungewear territory. Of course, the brand also recently collaborated with Fendi for some seriously luxe takes on their best-selling styles, too.
As most SKIMS products are stretchy yet sculpting, we'd recommend sticking to your true size in most SKIMS styles. But because SKIMS products aren't labeled in traditional sizing terms, it's probably worth checking out the accompanying size guide on skims.com. For example, in the Fits Everybody bralettes, each SKIMS size bracket can fit up to six different bra sizes - a SKIMS small can fit anyone from a 32D or DD, to a 34 A-C.
Luckily, the clothing and pants are much more straightforward. An XS tee will fit anyone between a 32.5 and 34.5 chest, and then each size jumps up in 2-inch increments, and the same goes for the underwear and waist-hip sizes.
For the purposes of this guide, we'll be focusing mainly on the brand's Fits Everybody range, with some Cozy loungewear thrown in for good measure. So, if you're ready to get your inner KKW on, and let's go!
The Fits Everybody bras come in a whole host of styles, from comfy triangle bralettes to more structured underwire bras. By far the most popular styles are the Triangle Bralette and the Cross Over Bralette, the latter being Kim Kardashian's SKIMS style of choice. For a non-wired style, these actually provide a decent amount of support for smaller busts thanks to their super smooth, double-layered construction. As mentioned, getting your size right is key, although the added stretch does allow for this to be slightly more forgiving.
If you prefer a little more support or some added lift, SKIMS underwire bras may be better for you. These actually follow a more traditional sizing structure on the band and cup sizes, so you're safe to stick with your true size on them.

Once you've got the right fit going, you'll notice that SKIMS bras are super comfy. The bra styles are made from buttery-soft stretchy fabric, and the Cross Over and Underwired styles feature hook and eye fastenings for added adjustability. They even have a solution for uncomfortable strapless bras in their Bandeau bra, which offers support with a seamless finish, without digging in at the sides as a lot of strapless styles do.
SKIMS Fits Everbody pants fit pretty true to size too, and are great for wearing under tight clothing like leggings thanks to their seamless construction. If you are between sizes, opting for the smaller size should be fine, as there is quite a lot of stretch in them.
If you're looking for a form-fitting t-shirt, look no further. SKIMS have the best bodycon tees by a mile. From figure-hugging turtlenecks to cropped baby tees, SKIMS tees are the softest t-shirts you could add to your collection, and the sizing is pretty straightforward, with an xxs starting at 30-32, and then an xs at 32.5- 34.5 and so on. It is worth bearing in mind though that the tees are quite long in the body, whereas the cropped version is ultra-cropped - there is no real option in between!
Crafted from buttery-soft, single-layered cotton, there is some support in the fabric, but as this is a review, we have to admit that the only thing that would make them better would be to make them double layered, which would give them more support and make the lighter colourways a little less see-through, but if that's a concern of yours, the Cotton Jersey T-shirt is a good alternative, as the cotton is slightly thicker.
If snug-fitting tees aren't your thing, the boxier Boyfriend tee is a really popular option, and comes in an oversized boyfriend fit with a high crew neck (huge Yeezy vibes right here). SKIMS suggest that for this style you should stick with your true size for the desired baggy fit.
Another popular SKIMS product is the Fits Everybody leggings. Now, if you're anything like us, your leggings will be a wardrobe staple, and get worn with socks and New Balance at any given opportunity. The bad news is, the SKIMS Fits Everybody leggings are definitely more suited to indoor wear - they're made from a pretty thin material that can appear see-through in some shades. Because of how stretchy they are, we'd recommend sizing down for a more form-fitting look.
Luckily, KKW has answered our prayers for a thicker version and recently introduced the Outdoor Leggings. These come with a high rise, elasticated waistband for a comfy fit, and the thicker material means they are much more true to size, hugging you in all the right places.
In true KKW style, the SKIMS range wouldn't be complete without a selection of solutionwear and shapewear. The brand boasts a huge number of these styles designed to contour, boost and support where necessary, from a smoothing bodysuit, to a waist trainer for core control, to leggings, to sculpting shorts and bras. We'd recommend sticking to your true size in SKIMS solutionwear. It'll feel tight, but it's just doing its job!
Now, the range everyone went crazy for. Often imitated but never matched, SKIMS' Cozy range is the it-girl's loungewear of dreams. Made from fluffy fabric, cozy styles include trousers, pullovers, joggers, a tank, t-shirt, a dressing gown and even a onesie. It is worth pointing out that this material can shed and stretch, but hand washing and drying flat can help to mitigate this.
For this guide, we'll concentrate on the tank and trousers, as these are the pieces where getting the fit right is most important.
Okay, first things first - the Instagram girlies aren't lying. SKIMS Cozy pieces are some of the most comfortable things you'll ever put on your body. Made from soft and stretchy boucle yarn, lounging in your SKIMS is a bit like being wrapped in a cloud. The Cozy Tank is a great layering piece, as although the material is thick, it still fits under the other pieces from the Cozy range. It features a scoop neck, and because the straps aren't adjustable, you may want to size down if you have a short torso. That being said, the style is also cropped, so if you prefer more coverage, go for the t-shirt instead.
Petite girls, look away now. The SKIMS Cozy Pants are super long. Now, Kim K isn't exactly tall herself, so we don't really know why this decision was made, but if you're under 5'5" we'd recommend that you stick to the Cozy Cuffed Joggers. If you're blessed in the leg department however, your true size should be fine!
So, there you have it. If you're looking to build up your SKIMS collection, sticking to your true size is normally fine, but be sure to get the conversions right for the best fit.
