A Special Homage To Serena Williams' Return To The Court

Nike are celebrating Serena Williams' long awaited return to the courts by releasing a pair of limited edition sneakers: the Nike Blazer Mid SW. Serena gave birth back in September after winning the Australian Open last year while pregnant. Back in the game again, Serena will be competing for the French Open 2018 title.

These special Serena Williams limited edition sneaks will be launching on May 24th in selected stores. There will be a Nike pop-up store in Paris where you will be able to get your own pair amongst the French Open festivities… if Paris is a little far, other pairs will be available at select European retailers and on the SNKRS app. Remember, these are limited edition so will be selling fast, make sure to check your options on the 24th.

The design of the Nike Blazer SW is very clean, the same logo that is seen on the laces can also be seen embroidered into the tongue. The reptile/pebble like pattern that is used on the panels adds detailing to the otherwise simplistic shoe. Two little holes sit below the Swoosh's on the side of these sneakers to give breathability and comfort for you while working out or wearing day to day.

The laces are definitely the centrepiece of these sneakers; the ribbon material has Williams' initials branded into them in an bold fashion. We have noticed this style to be very popular recently and seen on shoes such as Miley Cyrus x Converse and also the MadeMe x Converse sneakers.
