Squid Game has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon. Already forecasted to become Netflix's biggest and most popular series ever, fans are impatiently waiting for a second season waiting to be green lit - pun intended. With all the buzz that the Hwang Dong-Hyuk-created series is generating, Louis Vuitton has just recruited Jung Ho-Yeon as their latest Global Ambassador.

A model by trade, Ho-Yeon, who played North Korean defector Kang Sae-Byeok in the show, has already become the most followed Korean actor on Instagram. As of writing, she's amassed almost 17 million new followers which is truly insane considering she had just over 400k before the show's debut.

"I immediately fell in love with Ho-Yeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago." explained Louis Vuitton Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière.

Let us know what you think of this, and in related news, Vans Slip-On sales have grown by 7,800% since Squid Game's series premiere!
