The Stella McCartney Eclypse Is Drenched In Neon

A new year means a new batch of chunky shoes – and Stella McCartney has come through with the Eclypse Rainbow and Eclypse Contrast Yellow silhouettes.

The striking low top sneakers make the most of the neon trend. While 'pared back' would never usually share a sentence with 'neon', we can safely say that the 'Contrast Yellow' is the more demure of the two.

For the Contrast Yellow, 2 abstract-shaped fluorescent yellow panels decorate the white sidewalls. Up top, the laces show a neon tint, while underfoot, the huge wedge midsole sits on a translucent neon outsole.

The Rainbow edition showcases an all over spray paint gradient effect of pink, lime, yellow, and blue. 'Stella McCartney 2001' is printed in black on the outer sidewalls, and they're tied together with pastel orange-coloured laces. Playing into the chunky dad shoe trend, the Eclypse's sole is hefty – they're sure to give you added height and toughen up any fit.
