Who's ready for more self-lacing shoes? We know we are. After changing the game with the Adapt Huarache last year, the Swoosh is now back with the Nike Adapt BB 2.0. Bringing the innovative technology to the basketball court, this second gen sneaker is unlike anything else out there.
Inspired by the legendary Air MAG from the Back To The Future film franchise, the BB 2.0 is the brainchild of Nike Senior Footwear Designer Ben Nethongkome, who is also the mind behind the Kyrie series. Boasting an aesthetic that's a lot more aggressive compared to its predecessor, the shoe is crafted from a wide range of versatile materials, including engineered mesh and nylon.
Down below, the midsole has been considerably beefed up and is now infused with Zoom instead of Cushlon that was used on the 1.0. It also houses the technologically advancted FitAdapt motor that loosens and tightens the shoe in a touch of a button or through the dedicated smartphone app. Rounding it all off is an oversized Swoosh that swings across the laterals and towards the vamp.
If you like what you see here, then you'll be happy to find out that the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 will be dropping on February 16th during All-Star Weekend. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection, and in related news, Nike is celebrating 30 years of the Nike Air Max 90 with a trio of new silhouettes!
