From polo necks to cycle shorts… Dressing for the English "run up to Summer";. Tyler, The Creator brought out the GOLF le FLEUR* x Converse One Star earlier last year and we have been going crazy for them ever since. With the new colour ways coming out just next week, we wanted to set up a playful, run-up-to-summer inspired shoot with model and influencer Mónica Armario to shoot the Green GOLF le FLEUR* after their last release last month.
Tyler's shooting star-esque flower motif sneakers have been soaring off the shelves since their release and we are sure that the next collection "Two Tones"; will do the exact same.
A premium suede in deep green rests on top of the thick rubber midsoles of this sneaker. The weight and feel of the materials instantly give you a high quality feel from the get go. The bright floral soles are 100% the most prominent design feature on these sneakers, and just behind this is the contrast stitching.
Trying to keep up with the weather in England is hard when it's 25 degrees one day and 15 the next. We wanted to stick to lighter tones so even though we may be wearing more layers, at least we can still look summery!
Oversized tee with cycle shorts: We paired an oversized Converse tee with a pair of of-the-moment cycle shorts, both trends are incredibly hot right now and not one to be missed. Dot logo tee's are so simple yet effective. With a bold print on the rear and a smaller dot logo on the front, its business at the front and party in the back. We chose a white tee with a baby pink Converse branding to add a feminine touch to the outfit and add a bit of playfulness with the flamingo print. To accessorise, add a belt bag to bring your waist in and enjoy your excursions without having to worry about holding onto a bag!
Colourful tops & dungarees: Splashes of colour are all the rage at the moment, black seems to be fading out into the distance while colour is in. For the cooler days (which we seem to get a lot of), a white set of denim dungarees paired with a bright coloured long sleeve top is perfect. This outfit will keep you looking bright and summery despite the wintery wind that could come around the corner. Add a pair of the increasingly popular cat-eye shaped sunglasses to this outfit for the ultimate chic look.
Contrast stitching and polo neck tops: A pair of lightweight loose trousers are perfect for this in-between weather, and we are loving the contrast stitching garments available at the moment. Combine these trousers with a polo neck tee and you will be good to go. We see so many trends coming back and this outfit is checking all of those boxes. While the weather isn't too warm, you will be thankful for these these light weight yet still skin-covering pieces. Get yourself a mini rucksack that matches the colour of your sneakers and you'll be looking on point.
