Everyone has been gathering together over the past few weeks, participating in multiple events all over the globe to celebrate Pride; an annual celebration of acceptance, diversity and most of all, being proud to be yourself.
The 6 tone rainbow has grown to become a powerful symbol of happiness and unity and towns and cities all over the world have been brightened with it, supporting LGBTQ+. We are in love with the happy buzz around it all. Many companies have also been selling Pride inspired items to raise money and give back to the LGBTQ+ community. Flags, window displays and street art can be seen adorned all over London in celebration of the upcoming event.
So, with Pride London this Saturday, we decided to create a mini style guide with @natwinter_ , which is full of colourful inspiration for you. Alongside this, you will also find links to charities to allow you to easily donate. These charities give back to the LGBTQ+ community in life changing ways… Every donation counts, a little effort can end up going a long way!
Charities:
Human Rights Campaign: The largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
GLAAD: "Leading the conversation. Shaping the media narrative. Changing the culture.";
Happy Hippie Foundation: The Happy Hippie Foundation is a nonprofit organisation founded by Miley Cyrus. Their mission is to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations.
