With the news of Supreme's significant financial loss last year in the rearview mirror, the New York-based streetwear imprint is now looking to continue with its Summer 2023 campaign. This week, the brand has tapped Hardies Hardware for a homegrown collaboration that celebrates New York skate culture.
Unless you're deep in the skate scene, Hardies Hardwear might not be a name you're completely familiar with. It's a skateboarding hardware company founded by none other than Tyshawn Jones, a two-time winner of Thrasher Magazine's Skater of the Year award. Tyshawn founded Hardies Hardware back in 2015, shortly after the release of the Supreme's Cherry skate video (2014) that the pro starred in.
Concise in its offerings, this latest collaboration features apparel as its main focus, backed up by skate decks, hardware and an incense burner. Leading the collection is a duo of basketball jerseys available with matching shorts. Each of these pieces dons a camo-like pattern made up of the Hardies' fist graphic, arriving in blue and green hues, respectively. These pieces are backed up by two T-Shirt designs - one bearing a pitbull and the other a fist logo character. Naturally, each of the T-Shirts is available in a number of hues.
From the skate/accessory portion of the drop, we see the fist logo grace a trio of skate decks, and skate bolts arrive with Supreme's signature red hue. For those looking to get their hands on anything from the Supreme x Hardies Hardware collection, it will launch on Thursday, the 15th of June, at 4 PM GMT.
