It's official, the Big Window original is back and staying true to its fundamental roots! After first arriving on the scene in 1991, the Nike Air Max BW "Persian Violet" quickly gained a cult-like following and admiration within music scenes due to its timeless style and quality.
This latest rehash stays true to the original Tinker Hatfield design that was adopted and adored by the early 2000s Gabber and Hardcore dance scenes. In years later, the shoe was also quickly embraced by the London Grime scene with it making an appearance on Dizzie Rascal's iconic "Boy in Da Corner" album.
The shoe itself arrives with a soft mesh upper that contours to the shape of its wearer's foot. In slight contrast to the original model, additional padding is featured around the collar of the shoe but don't fret, breathability is still adequate due to the mesh perforated toe box area.
From a comfort perspective, things don't get much better than this OG. A plus foam insole lines the interior of the shoe with the iconic midsole air unit providing cushioning support.
"Persian Violet" pops of colour featured around the collar, swoosh and air unit contrast the silhouette's black base with shades of striking white featured elsewhere. This striking colourway is truly not one to be missed by any self-proclaimed Nike enthusiast.
The Nike Air BW "Persian Violet" is set to drop tomorrow, the 24th of September at 8 am on the SNKRS app, so make sure you're ready with your notifications on for this one!
