Aimé Leon Dore founder and creative director at New Balance , Teddy Santis, has taken to Instagram to tease a first look at his upcoming New Balance MADE IN USA collection, which is reportedly dropping this spring. Shared to his personal account, the images show an aerial view of some of the styles and colourways we can expect to see under his helm.
The collection appears to show a number of 990 styles, namely the 990v1, 990v2 and 990v3 coming dressed in both bright seasonal colourways like orange, blues and reds, and of course more muted options in line with New Balances’ signature greys, and light tones.
The reveal comes just days after a possible first look at some upcoming Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance pairs, which were teased in ALD’s SS22 lookbook. Amongst those appeared to be a couple of 650 and 991 styles. Before joining as creative director, Santis’ brand had worked with New Balance on a few collaborations and was responsible for reviving the archived 550 silhouette.
Right now, we’re still awaiting an official release date for Santis’ first New Balance collection, but our sources say styles are likely to start dropping in the spring.
