The Three Stripes is bringing back a trail icon this season with the adidas Consortium FYW XTA. Originally released back in 1996 as the EQT XTA, this one-to-one revival resurrects all of the major details that made the silhouette so legendary back in the day, and it fits nicely with the retro dad shoe trend that we all love to hate and hate to love.
Painted in the exact same colour scheme as the OG, the FYW XTA boasts a premium construction that combines beige and black together for that vintage vibe. Bright red accents make their way to the eyelets via a series of straps that are all adorned with the adidas mark. This is then tied together with a pair of laces for the ultimate lockdown fit.
Of course, you can't revive the XTA without the insanely chunky tyre-tread-like midsole that's what made the shoe so famous in the first place. A design feature that went on to inspired other sneaker brands such as Acne Studios, it's safe to say that these are a true icon.
Available now from a wide range of stockists, the adidas Consortium FYW XTA definitely shouldn't be slept on, so grab a pair while your size is still sitting around! Let us know what you think of this '90s trainer, and in related news, the adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 "Triple White" is making a comeback this month!
