US-based fashion and lifestyle imprint Aimé Leon Dore has built a large fan base through its stream of covetable collaborations—notably with New Balance. After reviving the retro New Balance 550 basketball sneakers, Teddy Santis has now taken the 99X silhouette under his roof. The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993 "Taupe" is finally scheduled for a global launch, and we do not doubt that serious NB collectors are just as excited as we are!
Unlike the New Balance 990, 991, and 992 that continues to roll out in doses of colourways, this collaboration with the Santis-led label could be the key to the NB 993's revival that has stayed dormant since its last collab in 2018 with Slam Jam Milano.
With a mix of supple suede and mesh, the NB 993's construction sets the stage for a neutral cream tone to take over the palette, accompanied by hits of navy and purple. A blacked-out ENCAP and ABZORB midsole unit underfoot and padded interiors offer reliable comfort all day. ALD branding on the insoles and heel complete the collaborative offering.
Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993 "Taupe" is gearing up for a release on the 10th of February via select footwear boutiques online and in-store. Make sure to stay ahead of the latest New Balance drops here at The Sole Supplier as we'll be the first to notify you. In related news, another thisisneverthat x New Balance collaboration is in the works.
