As we delve deeper into the winter season, frequent collaborators New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore are set to launch their latest pack of climate-suitable goods. Once again, turning to Rainer silhouette, the duo has produced a trio of fresh and bold colourways, each with vibrancy cranked up to ten.
Looking to replicate the success of last year's Rainer launch, New Balance's classic hiking boot has once again been reimagined through Aimé Leon Dore's distinctive lens. The duo has also tapped legendary alpinist Lou Whittaker to be involved with the project. Whittaker even famously took on Everest's North Wall wearing Rainer boots in 1984.
A total of three new colourways are available, each constructed with hairy suede uppers, a leather collar and tonal branding on the lateral walls. The first pair sports a vibrant mustard-like tint, contrasted by a black outsole and navy laces. Elsewhere, we see a brown-coloured pair complete with purple laces. Finally, white suede and orange accents work in unison atop a black outsole to close out the pack.
For those interested, be sure to enter the draw for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainer pack directly on ALD's site now for a chance to cop. Up next, the JJJJound x New Balance 2002R supplies a healthy dose of GORE-TEX goodness.
