Well, we certainly didn't expect this. Back in 1986, Michael Jordan and the Swoosh united for the AJKO line. Taking the classic Air Jordan 1 and giving it a slight rework, it replaces the usual leather with canvas that adds an element of versatility to the design. Now, after almost four decades, the shoe is making a comeback in the form of the Air Jordan 1 AJKO "Chicago", and we're taking a sneak peek!
Dropping in the original construction, the "Chicago" works on a clean white base with bold red accents across the ankle, heel, and toe box. As mentioned previously, canvas takes over the shoe for a lightweight fit and finish, while leather accents continue to make their way along the lateral and medial side Nike Swoosh branding.
Down below, you'll find an Air midsole that's painted in a subtle cream hue for a vintage vibe, finishing off the iconic Air Jordan 1.
Expected to launch sometime in Spring 2021, let us know what you think of the Nike Air Jordan 1 AJKO "Chicago", and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Let us know if you'll be adding a pair to your rotation, and in related news, only 12,000 pairs of the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 High "Chicago" will be made!
