We’ve already seen quite a few pairs competing for the release of the year already, but one is set to blow them all out of the water. A "Reimagined" take on one of the most iconic Jordan 1s of all time is set to drop towards the end of 2022, so here’s everything we know so far about the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago Reimagined.”
Peter Moore’s original Jordan 1 colourways have always held legendary status, but the “Chicago” colour blocking is considered to be one of the best of them all. The pair was originally released way back in 1985 and was one of the few colourways that Jordan himself was allowed to wear on the court.
The “Chicago Reimagined” AJ1 colourway follows the same colour blocking pattern as the original pairs, with a white base giving way to “Chicago Red” overlays, and black detailing on the wings, collar and Nike Swoosh. As well as this, the “Chicago Reimagined” Jordan 1s are rumoured to come complete with pre-aged detailing to replicate the original look, as well as sporting the same shape as the ‘85 release. Although details are scarce right now, we imagine that this means they’ll feature distressed or worn-in leathers across the white, black and “Chicago Red” colourway, and most likely a pre-yellowed midsole to add to the vintage vibe.
The photos pictured here are of the original ‘85 pair but be rest assured that as soon as more info and images of the “Chicago Reimagined” Air Jordan 1s surface, we’ll be the first to update you.
