Jordan Brand fans rejoice! For months, sneakerheads and hardcore NBA fans have been eagerly anticipating news surrounding new silhouettes for the 2023-24 NBA season, and it seems we're now getting our first official look. The Air Jordan 38 has now been officially revealed, with three signature colourways set to hit the shelves within the coming months.
Adopting a retro meets contemporary look, the Air Jordan 38 looks to the past for inspiration. 30 years ago, the Air Jordan 8 debuted on shelves, and now the AJ38 is looking directly to its predecessor for inspo. The shoe itself is loaded with technology, with a full-length Zoom Strobel unit and full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam for responsive cushioning found underfoot. Atop this, a mishmash of leather and mesh form the uppers, with 41 crosshatches nodding to Jordan's 41 points-per-game average during the 1992-93 season.
So far, each of the three new colourways is unique in its appearance. The "Fundamental" rendition combines black, silver and red hues, while the "Centre Star" sports a vibrant all-over orange tint. Finally, the "FIBA" takes shape with a pairing of white and grey. For those looking to get their hands on any of the new Air Jordan 38s, they're expected to from mid-August to mid-September. In other footwear news, MSCHF's viral hit is getting a reboot.
