Article updated 1/2/24: Quickly turning into one of this year's most anticipated releases, the Air Jordan 4 "Industrial Blue" has got the sneaker scene talking. Since its reveal towards the tail end of 2023, this model has captured the attention of many, and now thanks to user @Knowing_kicks, we've got our first on-foot look.
While we're still waiting for the official reveal from Nike, the Instagram user has managed to get their hands on a pair, giving us a detailed preview of what's come. Pairing "Industrial Blue" hues (or "Military Blue" for the OGs), with a white base and grey overlays, this might just be one of the cleanest spring/summer colourways we've seen in some time. No official release date has been confirmed at this point, so be sure to hit 'Notify me' below for updates. Keep reading for the original article also.
Article Updated 21/12/23: This one might take some getting used to, but the highly anticipated Air Jordan 4 "Military Blue" is actually going by a different name. Now dubbed the "Industrial Blue," this sneaker will have the exact same makeup as its predecessor, just with a new moniker to top it all off.
We're not sure exactly what prompted Jordan Brand's decision to change the name, but it isn't the first time they've done so either. Just think about John McEnroe’s Nike Mac Attack that was recently brought back as the Nike Attack.
Either way, whether it's the "Industrial Blue" or the "Military Blue," there's no doubt in our minds that this will be one of next year's biggest releases. See below for some new photos, and keep reading for the original article.
Article updated 14/12/23: After rumours began to circulate earlier this year, it looks like the first actual images of Air Jordan 4 "Military Blue" might have landed. Arriving courtesy of sneaker-leaker @xcsnkr and @jfgrails, we now see an initial, albeit blurry, look at these upcoming pairs.
Set to sport all the original details from this 1989 pair, the Air Jordan 4 "Military Blue" will no doubt prove popular among hardcore Jordan Brand fans and casual collectors. While this pair is rumoured to sport the same shape as the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green,” it's not looking like it's going to be an SB release. We know this because instead of the "Nike SB" logo at the heel, this pair sports a "Nike Air" spell out for the first time since 1989.
Set to arrive in the summer of 2024, if the "Military Blue" sees a similar level of success to the "Pine Green" SB, it could be one of the biggest releases in store for the year. Be sure to keep it locked in right here for the latest as this story unfolds, and set a release reminder below for all the latest. Keep reading for the original article below.
Original Article 21/4/23: Jordan Brand’s 2023 lineup is nothing short of stacked, but it's looking like the brand could be looking to up its game even more in 2024. With early rumours circling around a number of potential releases, the latest murmurs suggest that a re-release of the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” could be in the works, too.
Holding some kind of legendary status among Jordan fans, the “Military Blue” makeup was one of the four colour palettes to grace the Air Jordan 4 on its release in 1989. However, to retain its sought-after status, retro reissues of the model have been few and far between. Having last graced the shelves in 2012, this pair is expected to land in celebration of the silhouette’s 35th anniversary - which means we will likely see the return of the Nike Air branding on the heel.
As with all early rumours, there’s no release date or even official confirmation for the return of the “Military Blue ” Air Jordan 4 just yet, but be sure to stay locked to The Sole Supplier for all the latest news as it comes in!
Up next, here's how to cop the final Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 release.
