The Air Jordan 5 “Golden Ticket” is Jordan Brand’s latest masterpiece, drawing inspiration from the whimsical world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This imaginative rework of the 1990 classic merges luxury with storytelling, offering a fresh perspective on a beloved silhouette. The women’s exclusive “Golden Ticket” Air Jordan 5 is designed to inspire basketball players of all ages, according to its SNKRS description.
At the heart of its design lies the glossy Metallic Gold tongue, a striking nod to the golden ticket that symbolises unlocked dreams. Complementing this standout feature is a rich chocolate brown midsole and a clean sail upper, complemented by the iconic “23” and “Jumpman” branding on the heel.
Together, these elements capture the indulgent essence of candy while maintaining an air of sophistication. Earthy tones temper the bold gold accents, creating a balanced design that’s both versatile and eye catching. The sneaker also features modern details, such as the embroidered Jumpman logo and translucent outsole.
Classic features like the lace locks and mesh side panels remain intact, preserving the sneaker’s heritage.
As part of the 35th anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 5, Jordan Brand has exciting plans to reintroduce several original colourways, including the legendary “Black Metallic”, and “Fire Red”.
It’s been a few months since rumours of an “Earth” colourway for the Air Jordan 5 began circulating. Initially imagined in brown with gold accents, we now have a first official look at the pair, offering clarity on its actual design.
As we approach the end of the year, the 2025 Jordan release lineup is coming into sharper focus. Leaks are turning into tangible previews, and previews are evolving into official images. This latest unveiling of the Air Jordan 5 “Earth” gives us a definitive view of what to expect from this anticipated release.
In terms of design, the “Earth” colourway sticks to the classic Air Jordan 5 colour blocking formula. The upper features a subtle off white “Muslin” base, while the trim, including the midsole and collar, is bathed in a striking mix of “Metallic Gold” and a rich burgundy brown “Earth” tone.
This elegant palette feels like a natural fit for a women’s exclusive release. One standout detail is the addition of a matte lace lock, which enhances the shoe’s earthy aesthetic while adding a touch of jewel like sophistication.
Although the retail price remains unconfirmed, the Air Jordan 5 “Earth” is expected to drop on 22nd January, 2025. Hit the bell icon above and you'll be the first to know when these drop.
