The return of the Air Jordan 5 "Green Bean" has been circling around the rumour mill for quite some time now, but it looks like it has finally been officially confirmed. First released all the way back in 2006, Jordan Brand have gone deep into their archives to bring this icon back - and here's everything that we know so far!
Shots courtesy of sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz, the "Green Been" initially released sixteen years ago. While this isn't an OG colourway, it's considered by many Jordan heads to be one of the best Air Jordan 5s ever released. Boasting an ultra premium construction, the light grey nubuck has been coated with a 3M reflective finish so you can flex even in low-light conditions. Classic mesh panels dress the laterals and medials, while dark charcoal eyestays feature just like the original pair from '06.
Striking "Green Bean" accents make their way to the sockliner and Jumpman branding, and to round it all off, the P-51 Mustang-inspired Nike Air midsole is finished off with an icy blue outsole, finalising the legendary look.
A re-release date for the Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro "Green Bean" has yet to be officially confirmed, though our sources tell us that they'll drop on May 7th via SNKRS and select retailers. Keep it locked for more as it develops, and while you're here, you might as well take a sneak peek of the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2!
