Japanese retailer atmos is famed for its multiple high-profile collaborative efforts over the years, and now its back once again to join forces with none other than ASICS, another brand of Japanese origin. The duo are working on the atmos x ASICS Gel-Lyte III “Tokyo to NYC”, a pair inspired by subway maps from both cities. While there aren’t many images of the sneakers circulating right now, atmos founder Hirofumi Kojima has shared a detailed look at both pairs via his Instagram account.
Both sneakers depict the maps on top of a white base layer, with the attention to detail here really shining through. ASICS’ signature logo takes pride of place on both of the lateral and medial sides, as well as in miniature form embroidered onto the toebox. From this first look it’s unclear if atmos branding will be featured, however this is likely to appear on the tongue or heel counters. If you’re looking to get your hands on these upcoming releases, you’ll have to sit tight for now as no official release information has been revealed, however we expect this to come soon. Keep it locked right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest and while you are here take a look at this upcoming BAPE x New Balance collaboration!
