The first ever collaborative capsule between Reebok and Awake NY is set to drop at the end of the month, and it’s looking set to be a hit with sneakerheads across the globe. Awake NY is the relatively new label from Angelo Baque, ex-creative director at Supreme and all-round streetwear guru.
The label chose both the Instapump Fury and the Workout Low, with each one being heavily present in the streetwear scenes of the 1990s and 2000s, especially in New York. Baque paints each pair with Awake’s signature typeface logo for an instantly-recognisable look, while subtle detailing also makes these an instant hit with us.
While the Instapump Fury is decked out in a vibrant yellow and black colourway, the Workout Low is treated to two different offerings. The first follows a classic white base layer, with the usually gum-sole instead decked out in yellow, while the second pair opts for a failsafe triple black.
If you’re liking the look of the Awake NY x Reebok capsule, the good news is that it’s set to drop soon. The collection will release exclusively via Awake NY on the 13th March, with a global release following on the 20th March. The sneakers will be accompanied with a full apparel collection also, so get ready to rock the matching fit.
