Sneakerheads are no strangers to collaborations from Japanese streetwear and sneaker retailer atmos. Through the years, the Hommyo Hidefumi-led imprint teamed up with the likes of New Balance, Nike, Jordan Brand, and many others. Its latest collaboration sees a reunion with long-term partner Reebok for a delicious take on the Reebok Classic Leather model.
In addition, the pair also invites Japanese food manufacturer Oyatsu to complete the Baby Star Ramen-inspired design. For those unfamiliar with the name, Baby Star Ramen is a crunchy noodle snack you would often find in Japanese supermarkets since 1959. Very much like your usual packets of crisp, you can eat these ramen noodles straight from the bag without cooking them in a saucepan.
Notable elements of the Classic Leather feature Baby Star Ramen branding motifs like the cartoon mascots “Bei-chan” and “Hoshio-kun” on the lateral heels, "RAMEN" replacing Reebok's usual logo tab by the lacing system, "Baby Star” and “Ramen” in Japanese on the heels to mimicking the packaging, and ramen graphics adorning side stripes and insoles to finish. In terms of the colour arrangement, the leather upper sees a predominantly white hue with contrasting red and yellow accents.
The Baby Star x atmos x Reebok Classic Leather "Ramen" will launch on the 29th of August via atmos and select retailers worldwide. Make sure you stay locked in The Sole Supplier so you don't miss out on the latest Reebok collaborations. In related news, Reebok's "Jurassic World Dominion" is roaringly good.
