The Converse 'Renew' Collection Is Sustainable Goodness

Converse just unveiled the Converse Renew Canvas pack.  Launching as part of Converse's wider Renew initiative, the iconic footwear label are focusing on developing new, innovative and sustainable ways to create their products.

Having developed the new rPET yarn, this mimics the characteristics of the iconic cotton canvas. To commemorate the first time this fabric is used, Converse have constructed a Chuck Taylor and Chuck 70 constructed from aforementioned material.

The uppers of both pairs are constructed from 100% recycled polyester from plastic bottles. Along with this, there are have fully-recycled polyester laces and a distinctive speckled rubber outsole. With Converse's latest mantra of turning discarded pieces into amazing shoes, we cannot wait to see what the future holds.
