Rumours of the Katsuhiro Otomo x Nike Dunk Low "Steam Boy" have been making rounds for quite a few months now, but we're now taking our first look at the hotly anticipated collaboration. Made in partnership with the same artist and film director that brought us classics like Akira, this particular colourway pays homage to his 2004 steampunk animation, Steam Boy.
Working on top of a crisp white suede base, lush dark green nubuck panels wrap around the Dunk for a high contrast look that's a nod to the train featured in the movie. Orange accenting highlights the Swoosh and tongue, while an additional dash of sage green graces the heel for added depth.
Shifting your focus down below, you'll spot a clean white midsole, and this is decked out with complementary orange stitching, finalising Nike's tribute to the classic flick.
The Katsuhiro Otomo x Nike Dunk Low "Steam Boy" is expected to arrive in several other colourways later this year, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Would you like to see an Akira-inspired colourway? Let us know what you think, and while you're here, you might as well satisfy your sweet tooth with the LeBron x Nike Dunk Low "Fruity Pebbles"!
