This is it. After months of delays because of the coronavirus, the hotly anticipated Dior x Jordan Brand "Air Dior" Collection finally has a release date. First unveiled at the Parisian house's pre-Fall 2020 show in December, it's literally the most hyped sneaker collaboration in history, and to say that we're beyond excited is an understatement in itself.
Taking on the luxury label's signature "Dior Gray" hue, the capsule comprises of a number of apparel and accessories, but the highlights of the range have got to be the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High and the Dior x Air Jordan 1 Low. Crafted from Italian calf leather, both models are decorated with a lacy Swoosh that pays homage to their own B-23 High Top, while custom "Air Dior" branding features throughout for a look that's hard to ignore.
Down below, you'll find a clean Nike Air midsole, and just underneath this you'll find custom branding enclosed within a pair of rubber outsoles as if you're looking at a piece of priceless art at a museum.
Now for that all-important release info. According to reputable sneaker insiders @ovrnundr.io as well as a variety of other sources, the Dior x Jordan Brand "Air Dior" Collection will be dropping on July 7th via a raffle. More details have yet to be confirmed by the Kim Jones-helmed brand, but if it's anything like what was scheduled before, Dior will host a raffle through their site as well as a separate one at Selfridges.
We also aren't quite sure if the whole capsule will be dropping on that day or if it's just the Air Jordan 1 High, which is priced at an eye-watering $2,000 (around £1,700) and limited to just 8,500 individually numbered pairs worldwide.
Make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more info, and while you're here, the Air Jordan 1 "Natural Grey" from 1985 is rumoured to be re-releasing!
