Well, this was unexpected. With new images of the upcoming sacai x Nike VaporWaffle dropping left, right, and centre, Japanese style icon Hiroshi Fujiwara has now been spotted rocking the never-before-seen fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle. A three-way collab that we never knew we needed, here's everything that we know so far!
Teased in a selfie with Breakfast Club Tokyo's Kunichi Nomura, the pair works on a dark navy mesh base and comes complete with Chitose Abe's signature dual Nike Swoosh setup. Silky ribbon laces add a premium touch to the shoe, while the double stacked midsole makes a comeback here for that deconstructed aesthetic that we all know and love. To round it all off, FD's legendary thunderbolt logo is finely debossed onto the suede toe, finalising the design.
Of course, this isn't the first time that the Japanese brands have teamed up. Back in 2017, fragment and sacai united for a Converse Chuck Taylor collab that was insanely hyped, so we're honestly not that surprised that this is even a thing.
At this moment in time, pretty much nothing else is known about the fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier if you want to know more about these! Let us know if you would cop, and while you're here, you might as well get up close with the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Sail"!
