While most sneaker brands are on the hunt for the freshest up-and-coming talent in design to collaborate with, adidas has instead looked to iconic franchises of the past for it’s latest team effort. The Home Alone x adidas Forum Low draws inspiration from everyone’s favourite seasonal movie. Starring Macauley Culkin, Home Alone will likely appeal to anyone who grew up in the ‘90s for obvious reasons.
The film tells the story of how a young Kevin wards off two burglars (Marv and Harry) with a series of tricks and traps. The sneakers are largely inspired by the traps in question, and will come complete with an entire set of limited-edition insoles and pin badges - a collector’s dream!
Crafted from premium leather across the uppers, the pair showcase a classic red and white colourway, modelled on the sneakers actually worn by Kevin during the movie. Three stripe branding is present on the lateral and medial sides, while instead of trefoil branding the outline of Chicago makes an appearance on the ankle strap. The Home Alone is printed onto the sidewall of the pair, while other notable details include burn marks and tongue tabs that represent doormats, one of Kevin’s many traps.
If you’re as nostalgic as we are over the Home Alone x adidas Forum Low, the good news is that the pair are set to arrive in time for Christmas. While we don’t have an official release date just yet, make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier as we’ll update you as soon as more details are revealed! While you’re here, check out official images of the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Superturf Adventure!
