As 2026 approaches, rumours about Air Jordan releases continue to build anticipation. One of the most exciting updates? The Air Jordan 5 "Wolf Grey" is set to make its return next June. Joining classics like the Infrared Air Jordan 6s, this release highlights Jordan Brand’s ongoing strategy of reintroducing beloved retro styles.
According to Romania's Sneaker Market, the "Wolf Grey" reissue aligns with the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5, one of Tinker Hatfield’s most iconic configurations.
While the "Wolf Grey" wasn’t part of the original 1990 lineup, it debuted on 14th May, 2011, and immediately became a fan favourite. The pair sold out instantly and gained significant value on the resale market as the popularity of Jordan Retros soared.
In 2020, Jordan Brand teased fans with a golf cleat version of the "Wolf Grey" AJ5, leaving many eagerly awaiting its return as a basketball shoe. While details remain scarce, there’s speculation that the 2026 version might follow Jordan Brand’s Reimagined approach, which prioritises OG inspired shapes and finishes.
Similar to next month’s Air Jordan 5 "Black Metallic", the "Wolf Grey" could feature closer to 1991 proportions while retaining signature elements like the Jumpman logo and 23 detailing.
