The Legendary Nike Air Presto "AUS" PE From 2000 is Getting a Public Release
Originally marketed as the "T-Shirt For Your Feet", the Air Presto made its grand debut with the Nike Air Presto "AUS" PE during the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Made exclusively for Swoosh friends and family as well as Australian Olympic athletes, to say that these were beyond rare would be an understatement and a half. With its 20th anniversary just around the corner, the low top model is now getting its first public release, and here's everything that you need to know!
With a neoprene construction that's dipped in a unique "Australian Green" hue, the "AUS" features the same XS to XL sizing as the original, keeping in line with the T-shirt analogy. A semi-transparent cage wraps around the midfoot and heel for added support and stability, while a pair of clean white laces tie everything together.
Yellow star embroidery arrives on the toe box to represent the country's flag, and underfoot, you'll find a comfortable BRS 1000 midsole. To round it all off "AUS" branding adorns the tongue and heel, finalising what is probably one of the most legendary Nike shoes in existence.
Arriving Down Under on July 17th, the Nike Air Presto "AUS" PE will then get a worldwide release one week later on July 24th. Let us know if you'll be grabbing a pair later this month, and in the meantime, take an on-foot look at the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Tour Yellow"!
