After months of eagerly-anticipating further details, a release date has finally arrived for the incredibly-hyped Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collection. Designed by the late and great Virgil Abloh, the kicks use the 1982 classic silhouette as a base layer and use recognisable design traits from both Louis Vuitton and Abloh’s own Off-White label.
While there are currently pairs from the collection in circulation already, these have come from either F&F seeding or the high-profile Sotheby’s auction that took place at the start of the year. What is to come now is the first stage of the wider retail release, where the general public will likely stand their first chance at getting their hands on a pair.
The first drop will feature a total of nine pairs from the 21 pair capsule, with many of the hyped colourways such as the triple white, triple black, green and blue variants seeing a release. It’s believed that VIP Louis Vuitton customers will get offered pairs on a first-come-first-serve basis, with any leftovers set to launch after.
Set for a launch on the 19th July via the Louis Vuitton US website, the sneakers will retail at $2,750 for low tops and $3,450 for high tops, with sizes ranging from US3.5 to US18. While these won’t be easy to get hold of, this might be your best shot yet at acquiring these grail-status kicks, so keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for more details and while you’re with us check out the latest regarding CDG’s latest Nike collaboration!
