The Melody Ehsani x Air Jordan OG Drops on the 19th March
Inspired by the WBNA and ‘Love and Basketballs’ 20th anniversary, the Melody Ehsani x Air Jordan OG revolves its design around cherries which are used as a symbol of abundance, fertility and protection for women. New images of the covetable shoe show it in all its glory and prove it’s an absolute must cop.
The upper is crafted from super smooth suede and the layered side panels are perfectly curved to create a look that bridges the gap between retro and modern. Nike Jordan’s instantly recognisable Jumpman logo is embroidered onto the tongue and the base of the laces is finished with a pretty cherry embellishment. Matching the cherry red of the embellishment is a bright outsole and fabric inner.
Originally released in 1998, the Jordan OG was the first shoe designed exclusively for female basketball players. Nodding to its history, Ehsani said about the shoe’s legacy, “It was an exciting time in history with the inception of the WNBA and all the incredible women who were coming into the game. The shoe is really an emblem of this moment, a first in many regards.”
Presented in an extra-special Melody Ehsani x Jordan box that’s finished in a cute pink and red palette, the paper inside is printed with empowering affirmations that make the wearer feel worth her weight in gold.
Available to cop on the 19th March, the Melody Ehsani x Air Jordan OG will set you back around £120.
