The last time Neighborhood worked on the Superstar was all the way back in 2017 when they tapped BAPE for a Boost-infused pair. Fast forward four years and the Japanese streetwear brand has arrived to take on the legendary silhouette yet again with the upcoming Neighborhood x adidas Superstar 80s - and we're getting our first look yet!
Teased in "Black" and "Olive Green" colourways, both pairs boast an ultra premium all-suede construction with serrated Three Stripe branding along the lateral and medial side panels. The iconic Shell Toe can be found around the front, while the midsole keeps things simple with the classic look.
Of course, you can't talk about this upcoming adidas collaboration without mentioning the lacing setup - or lack thereof. Replaced with a zip shroud, this is decorated with zig-zag stitching for a sartorial aesthetic.
An official UK release date has yet to be announced for the NBHD x adidas Superstar 80s, but with them launching in Japan at the end of the month, they'll be landing sooner rather than later! Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Superstar "Black" is finally getting a global release!
