New Balance has been focused heavily on a couple of notable projects as of late: the revival of the archived New Balance 650R basketball silhouette via a collab with Teddy Santis' Aimé Leon Dore, as well as the expansion of the New Balance 57/40 roster. And speaking of the 57/40, a modernised version of the New Balance 574, the Boston footwear label has now rolled it out in three summer-ready iterations.
The new trio, dubbed "Helium Blue", "Prism Purple", and "Sea Salt Orange", all possess off-white suede overlays elegantly wrapped around athletic mesh tooling in white. Lively pops of contrast via the pairs' titular hues mark the sidewall's oversized N logo, branded tongues, and heel tabs.
On the rear, TPU heel clips join the colour palette by opting for a grey tone, and the exaggerated midsole beneath the feet indulging in a two-toned arrangement of white and beige completes the '80s-meets-'90s-inspired design.
The New Balance 57/40 is an absolute shoedrobe staple, and if you haven't gotten round to buying a pair yet, then nows your chance!
