Anyone familiar with Nike will know the brand is no stranger to innovation and is constantly looking for ways to improve products for consumers and athletes alike. Now the brand has debuted its latest groundbreaking initiative, likely changing the way many of us look at performance wear.
Introducing Nike Forward, a project that debuted yesterday off the back of five years of research. Echoing the brand's Move To Zero endeavour, Nike Forward aims to produce sustainable Nike knits while significantly reducing the carbon footprint it has on the atmosphere. Up to 75% of the brand's carbon footprint has been reduced thanks to recycled materials, lower energy use and lower material density.
So far, two silhouettes have been unveiled - a hoodie and a crewneck sweatshirt. Each piece sports a grey knit fleece construction with raw edge pockets, exposed seams and multiple ultra-thin layers that use the brand's signature Therma-FIT ADV technology.
The first two Nike Forward pieces are set to debut globally on September 15th, with the hoodie priced at £114.95 and the crewneck at £99.95. In other fashion news, Ajax x Daily Paper join forces for a pre-match collection.
