After stepping back from the limelight at the end of last year, Virgil Abloh is kicking off 2020 with fire release after fire release. With the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Black" expected to drop later this month and the Off-White x Nike Air Max 90 "University Red" rumoured to be launching this summer, the American fashion designer has now taken to the runways of New York Fashion Week 2020 to unveil his next Swoosh collab, and it's unlike anything we've seen before.
Images courtesy of Complex, the mysterious Off-White x Nike shoe takes its upper from the retro P-6000 and combines it with the midsole of the Dunk Low, with a few subtle tweaks here and there. Crafted from a combination of leather, mesh, and nubuck, the P-6000's highly intricate upper can be seen here done up in a stealthy black and neon green makeup.
Of course, it wouldn't be an OW sneaker without the deconstructed detailing, so naturally you'll find the Louis Vuitton designer's signature quoted text at the laces, technical verbiage on the medials, and the industrial zip tie that's dipped in a vivid orange. A rubberised Nike Swoosh also graces the lateral and medial side panels for a DIY-inspired vibe.
Pretty much nothing else is known about this Off-White x Nike sneaker. Could it be Abloh's hotly anticipated Off-White x Nike Air Rubber Dunk that leaked back in September? Let us know what you think, and while you're here, check out this never-before-seen Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 that was spotted at PFW!
