Launched all the way back in 1982 and designed by none other than Bruce Kilgore, the legendary Nike Air Force 1 is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2022, meaning plenty of special edition releases are en route, with the latest to be unveiled being the Nike Air Force 1 “Roman Empire”. Inspired by ancient Rome, the pair showcase royal-looking details and premium materials, meaning these are going to be one to watch upon release!
Crafted from a mix of patent and tumbled leather, the panelling across the uppers showcases a classic AF1 look, with the Nike Swoosh logo on each side breaking up the look. Hits of burgundy and white create a low-key colour scheme, with details such as a perforated toe box, roman typeface branding at the tongues and Nike Air embroidery on the heels sealing the deal.
This all sits on top of a classic and chunky AF1 midsole unit, that’s decked out in pre-aged white. A full-length Nike Air cushioning system is concealed within, meaning you can slip these on with ease and be comfortable for the duration of the day. If you’re looking for a pair that will sit neatly in your existing rotation then look no further!
While as of yet we don’t have a release date confirmed for these, be sure to keep checking back in order to stay in the know, as we’ll be the first to update you.
