The Nike Air Force 1 Wild "Rugged Orange" Takes Inspiration From Hiking Styles

With a quest for innovation still firmly in mind, Nike's Wild line sees some of the Swoosh brand's most revered silhouettes get geared up for the great outdoors. Now joining the expanding ranks is the Air Force 1 Wild "Rugged Brown," a basketball icon that is ready for the hardwood and the hardest trails.

Said to be somewhat inspired by the AF1 Boot, the Air Force 1 Wild delivers an updated version of the regular and renowned AF1 silhouette, building upon the now ever-present gorpcore trend. Upon first glance, it's evident that Nike has placed a firm focus on creating a rugged and durable construction. Atop a midsole similar to that of the Air Humara, a combination of nubuck overlays and ballistic mesh underlays decorate the uppers. With yet more functionality in mind, the tongue has been slimmed down, and a pull tab has been introduced at the top also.

Its "Rugged Orange" hue can be seen all over, only to be contrasted by black stitching, eyelets, Nike Air logos and sole.
