Plenty of early 2000s Nike silhouettes hold cult followings that hunt down archive pairs, with one of these being the Nike Air Kukini. Designed by Sean McDowell (also the man behind the Air Max Plus), the sneakers were part of Nike’s Alpha Project and showcase a streamlined look that was revolutionary at the time. The sneakers are now set to make an impressive return for 2022.
Decked out in a “Summit White/Aviator Grey” colourway, the Air Kukini showcases intricate details all across the upper which are only accentuated with the clean colourway. The main panels showcase a grey/blue tint, while white details set the scene for a look that will be undoubtedly wearable.
An eye-catching graphic print is presented across the canvas uppers, while branding is kept to an absolute minimum, with just a small Swoosh logo located on the tongue. Pull tabs are present on both the tongue and heel, while a mudguard rounds off the toe box. This all sits on top of a white midsole that conceals visible Nike Air technology under the heel to ensure state of the art comfort.
If you’re already keen on this revisited retro release, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled as there’s no confirmed release date just yet. Expect to see them in coming months at select retailers and stay locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest on this pair and so many more! While you’re here, check out the Nike Dunk Low “Jackie Robinson”!
