The Nike Air Max 95 “Freddy Krueger” has just been unveiled as part of Nike’s Halloween release schedule this year and they’re looking absolutely fire! It’s not unusual for the Oregon-based brand to launch Halloween sneakers, with fans eagerly anticipating the limited-edition packs each year.
Nike originally planned to launch a pair of SB Dunks inspired by Freddy Krueger (from A Nightmare on Elm Street) way back in 2007, however due to legal issues the Swoosh was ordered to cease and desist. Several pairs managed to slip through the net and are now some of the most desirable Dunks of all time!
The AM95’s look is set to be crafted from a blend of technical mesh and suede, with the red and beige stripes paying homage to the character's distinguishable striped sweater. Other neat touches include tartan panelling at the tongue alongside blood splatters on the insoles and heel tabs, making these a truly horrifying halloween release!
Underfoot, a beige rubber midsole conceals several visible Nike Air units, making sure that these are more than comfortable enough for daily wear, while range-specific Air Max branding is present at the tongue tabs. Will you be looking to pick up these scary-looking Air Max?
If you’re as keen as we are on the Nike Air Max 95 “Freddy Krueger”, you’ll have to wait a little longer just yet. No official release date has been announced, although we’d expect the sneakers to drop sometime in October to coincide with Halloween. Stay locked in right here at The Sole Supplier and while you’re here check out this leaked Nike ISPA Road Warrior colorway!
