The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Brushstroke is the latest rendition of the legendary silhouette to launch from everyone’s favourite Oregon-based brand, and it’s certainly looking set to be an absolute banger!
It’s been a huge year for the Blazer, which has seen a widespread resurgence in popularity. Originally introduced as Nike’s first-ever basketball shoe, the Blazer was immensely popular throughout the 1970s and was even adopted by skateboarders due to the durability of the uppers.
At a first glance, these just look like a regular pair of Blazers, however they’re actually part of the wider Brushtroke pack, which we’ve recently seen on the Air Force 1. Nike’s conventional Swoosh logo is switched up and replaced by a hand-painted graphic version for a refreshing look. Classic Nike branding remains at the tongue and heel, while the OG Blazer foam tongue is also present.
Hints of red at the heel complete the colourway, giving this pair a classic feel that reminds us of the recently launched Air Jordan 1 “Light Smoke Grey”. The look is finished off by a neat rubber midsole and suede details, making these an everyday rotation essential.
If you’re as keen as we are on this brand-new Nike Blazer, unfortunately you’ll have to wait just a little longer yet, as no official release date has been announced.
